Seeding  

Fall is not for seeding, late summer is.  

The optimum time for seeding is between August 15 and September 15, especially in sunny areas.  

Fall seeding is a misnomer. If you need a lawn installed or repaired the optimum window is now through Sept. 15. If the area is shady and free of crabgrass, it can be done up to Oct. 1 because shady grass seed germinates quicker.  

Sod, instant grass, can only be done in full afternoon sun and can be done up until the ground freezes. So, if you have any thoughts about installing or repairing a lawn, give me a call.
